Santa Cruz, the capital town in Laguna, is a first class urban municipality situated on the banks of the Santa Cruz River which course its way along the eastern part of the famous Laguna de Bay. The towns of Lumban and Pagsanjan marks its boundary on the east, Pagsanjan in the east, Pagsanjan and Magdalena in the south, and Pila and Liliw set the territory limits the west boundary. It covers a total land area 3,860 hectares, and approximately 87 kilometers from Manila via Calamba.The town is accessible by land from the nearby towns, and water through Laguna de Bay from Manila and other towns.
